The Kickstarter project for
Hyper Light Drifter, a new 16-bit-esque game paying homage to the mechanics of Zelda, Metroid, etc - has blown away it's intended goal. They've exceeed $200k already and still have 25 days to go. All of this is to say, you still have a chance to get in on the ground floor or, at the very least, appreciate the artwork on a level beyond "cool video game." It's remarkable work.
