Magnhild Kennedy

I am absolutely smitten with Damsel Frau, the mask work creations of Magnhild Kennedy. The Norway born designer moved in London in 2007 and started creating these headpieces from found materials while working at a vintage shop. Her process is nicely explained in this Vogue piece but it's hard to imagine that any amount of words could encapsulate the downright captivating constructions. They manage to be nightmarish, beautiful, alien and familiar all at once.
