Museum Of Wonder

Alabama's Museum of Wonder is a lot of things - it's a taxidermy and found object museum, it's an auction house (call the Possum Trot, natch) and it's the home of artist Butch Anthony. He can "weld steel, mix concrete, paint, throw clay, bend wire , sew cloth, and hammer a nail" - all together he calls Intertwangleism. It's a lot to take in but I'm really enjoying these old portraits that he's drawn simple, stylized, skeletal structures into. This is but the tiniest tip of the iceberg but it's a great jumping off point.
