I have no idea what to think of
this movie. It's got Bill Murray (good), it's got Scarlett Johansson and Giovanni Rivisi (good, again), and it's directed by Sofia Coppola (seems good).
This site has a bit of the scoop about the film.

Finally I can log it! The reason for my lack of browsing and posting. Check out the new site for
IMA ROBOT. Must give huge props to
Daniel and
Sibhod for all the work they provided... I am really proud of the outcome. Good work guys.. hope everyone enjoys.

The best part about seeing a movie are the trailers. The movie is more than likely going to be a disappointment, but at least you've got the over the top retarded trailers to make the experience worth it. Here are some examples:
Seabiscuit - I can
not wait until this movie comes out - so that I can finally stop hearing about it. I swear I've been seeing trailers for over a year for this thing and it has never looked good. I can't begin to express how much I hate this movie without seeing it.
Envy - three important things with this one. 1) Noone delivers comedy like Jack Black.. it doesn't matter what he's saying, it's all in the delivery. Completely priceless when done right. 2) Amy Poehler is really not that funny, I wish I would stop hearing about her (her mouth bothers me too). 3) Christopher Walken. That's all.
Pirates of the Caribbean - actually I saw this movie and can't really comment on the trailer. Highly entertaining film.. I would not be upset by a Johnny Depp / Capt. Jack Sparrow spinoff film to distract my mind with entertainment. It did have the standard problem of being a wee bit too long - editing, c'mon.. look into it.
Tomb Raider II - you know, boobs are great and all but this is just stupid. Does anyone have genuine interest in seeing this? Even as an "action flick" (which, by the way, it's not.. it's just Angelina in a skin tight suit).
Dickie Roberts - remember when Adam Sandler did his standard character and went back to school? Yea, David Spade got him to pay for him to make a movie where he is the star. Looks great.. yeah...
Capturing The Friedmans - I think Nino showed me this awhile back but due to a browser crash I lost it. This actually interests me.. and just to push my snobbery, it's one of the independent films listed on the apple site.
Okay okay, that's enough griping for now.. I mostly just wanted to gripe about Seabiscuit, those others were like bad leftovers.

Can't decide.... go see
A Perfect Circle or not? Anyone wanna drive me.. I hate that return drive. Must see if James Iha is really in the band and if "The Nurse Who Loved Me" is a cover - oh, and
The Roxy looks pretty cool (the Atlanta one, I know the LA one is cool).

Interesting.. Kill Bill might be
split in two - two films that is. Released within 5 weeks of each other? That'll never happen but I do find it amusing that Quentin Tarantino's return is obvious a huge cluster of him writing frantically having loads and loads of ideas. Prime example of why you should always work, instead of letting out that creative energy in spurts.

It's no
iPod, but I picked up a Creative Labs
MuVo today. Very tiny, holds about 2 albums worth of mp3's, and quite compatible with my USB enable monitor. I almost wish I could have rationalized the iPod, but this little guy will totally get the job done. Welcome to the age of the mixed portable USB drive!

Sorry guys.. I'm beat from work. Post some cool sites in the comments and I'll repost them if they incite discussion. In the meantime - go check out the
Self site again - more loops have been added and more will be added this weekend.... hopefully I'll find something else to log...

Interesting
thread on the ethics of filesharing.. kind of. It's really just a really deep headed discussion about the whole thing that's probably been discussed 1,000x before - but this one has contributions from Steve Albini! So it's more interesting, somewhat. Link via

Great transitions and design at the

Hey! Since I'm busy today.. it's your turn again to contribute. Anyone got any suggestions as to a good CD player and/or mp3 player that is mildly affordable? Yes, eventually I'd like an iPod but I'm not willing to spend the bucks on that right now - so something simple would be much preferred. And noone suggest the
Rio Volt because I have one and it's broke.. not interested in another...

Is it possible that the new
Perfect Circle disc contains a cover of a
Failure song? Unless maybe naming one of their own songs "The Nurse Who Loved Me" is some kind of tribute to them I suspect it's one and the same.
