More lush photography by
Josh Reeder. I particularly enjoy the medium format b/w stuff but there are a few color ones I really
like as well.

Computer Love is back. I haven't been through everything yet but its definetly looking nice so far. I was a bit skeered they wouldn't bring back the newsboard, but they did. And it's chalk full of good links like
212f - nice portfolio site.

If you missed the
WASTE bandwagon, you're S.O.L. - cause AOL stopped it's distribution (silly AOL/Time Warner owning Nullsoft).

While in Austin,
Sarah snagged a poster of Bill Hicks that asked "what would Bill think now?" with the url for the site
Just Planting Seeds. Turns out the site is "people-get-ready.com" and is fairly enigmatic. You can see the wall of Bill Hicks posters at the beginning of the intro on the plywood. Curious indeed. Hopefully more will come of it than just a "hey, wait and see."

It's an easy joke, but Will Ferrel in
ELF might be fairly entertaining. I mean, he's huge and the elves are tiny! That's classic stuff. The trailer is on the site if you have the urge to check it out.

It may be called
Broken Robot but it doesn't seem like it. Straight up, no nonsense portfolio.

Now that
Chris has posted about the trip to Austin, I will as well. For those that don't know - I went down to Texas with
Sarah, making record time (only 13 hours!) and proceeded to just hang out around town for a couple days.
Mostly shopping and boring stuff - but we hit up the
Year Of the Rabbit /
Grandaddy show (apparently Pete Yorn played too.. we didn't stick around) with
Chris and had a good time. Pretty much every third sentence out of his mouth is a lie, but it's still entertaining none-the-less. The show was good - Grandaddy actually pulling out the rock more than ole YOTR, but no complaints about finally seeing
Ken Andrews sing and play guitar live.
The next night we were fortunate enough to see
Dredg and aside from the all-ages crowd, it was a good time. Not enough stuff from
Leitmotif but
El Cielo is chalk full of goodness. Then we headed home (again.. only 13 hours) and things are settling back in.
Very cool town, not a huge city vibe but it definetly seemed like things were going on. I hope to develop my two rolls of film very soon and get those up on the ole interweb to share.
Now that we got the boring "real life" post out of the way.. back to finding cool sites.

There's a new
Bill Hicks documentary coming out on the Trio network in the middle of June (do I even get Trio?). It should feature the never before aired 12th Letterman appearance of Mr. Bill Hicks - that was cut and probably only exists as bootlegs of bootlegs. Oh yea, and
Sacred Cow relaunched their whole site - you should check it out.

What's going on with the lighting on these photos from
Michele Laurita? Are those lens flares for real or added in later? Snuts! Superb color quality though.
