Check the extremely hot Jon Spencer poster over at
Catchdubs. He's always had some nice posters in his art section but this one definetly takes things to a new level. Props.

If I had a coffee table, I'd put
this book on it. But since I don't.. I'll probably just drool on it and then put it on the bookshelf.

Check out the
latest works from

This guy is on my desktop, but there are plenty more that are worthy.

Anyone know where to get copies of the Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn? Apparently Mandy Moore was on there recently with
Matt Mahaffey on keyboards.. that sounds amusing and I'd like to see it.

We just had a nice intense conversation on the way to get a beverage regarding the war, michael moore, and other topics such as abortion. My brain is overflowing with opinions about the nation's current state... and I hate thinking that I'm a minority that things are bad right now, VERY bad. In fact, much worse than before it was decided to liberate Iraq. I think our nation acted out of turn, and is opening a can of worms that they can't begin to comprehend the backlash (in so many forms). I hate the thought that people are dying left and right, or dying from thirst because one of our missles hit an electricity plant and took out the water supply... Death for freedom is wrong - I don't think I can be convinced otherwise. In the meantime, I'll try and post some more uplifting type things.. cause everyone needs a break.

Oh yea, and those documents that the US claimed proved Saddam and Co. had nuclear weapons? Yea, it was a
fake. Guess noone was asking questions at the CIA either since
some people knew this would happen regardless of anyone's actions.

Last night I saw Al Gore speak at
MTSU on the topic of mass media's impact on communities. On of his most interesting, and emphatic, points was that today's media is threatening the idea of free speech that this country is so proud to have use of. Without asking questions or sparking debate, every bit of information just becomes handouts from the government. Fortunately, some places are asking questions.
This article re-iterates the point that Gore made last night (just a co-incedence) and uses specific examples about how the govt/media are kind of pulling the wool over our eyes.

I am fiending to be a good consumer and buy some new toys! And by toys I mean stuff like a
Powerbook. I'm torn between the new 17" model or a 15" powerbook with cinema display.. it'd be about the same price. Decisions, Decisions. I've read
rumors of a 40 gig iPod coming soon.. but no annoucements as of yet. What's that about?

Just as a reminder of my stance on things - the war still sucks. Requesting $76 billion from Congress - $60 billion of which goes to rebuilding bombs and other U.S. weapons of mass destruction. I will prevent myself from ranting too much - but has anyone ever gotten a solid answer about why we are willing to find a diplomatic solution with North Korea and not with Iraq?

I missed it on live TV last night, but the Michael Moore
acceptance speech apparently didn't go over too well. People were happy to show their support for his winning Best Documentary, but there were quite a few boo's when he started going off about Dubya. You can watch Michael Moore in the press room after the melee, from a link on
this page - he definetly seems a bit humbled.

Today's biketrip/photo excursion was an attempt to be focused on "signage"... that is, interesting ways of presenting type and information that wasn't a big corporate logo. Unfortunately when I see a good graffiti piece, I can't pass up snapping a shot - so there's a mix of stuff in here. Some of the photo's try and let the lettering be the focus, not neccasarily the overal photo composition (and some of them fail at trying that). Anyway, let me know what you think of the
Signage shots.

While I'm none too pleased that once again Nashville is skipped over for a great show.. I am quite pleased that I may have the chance to catch
Grandaddy and
Year Of The Rabbit on the same bill. And best of all, I can leave when
Pete Yorn starts and get home at a decent hour...
