In early October, designer Mikey Burtonlaunched a site in partnership with WIX called 100 Envelopes. Within is a repository of doodles, on envelopes, of whatever ridiculous ideas come to Burton's mind. He's an incredibly talented illustrator, so it's pretty nuts to see what a "doodle" means to him; as each feels like it would be a real accomplishment to most others.

High level, Kickstarter's current creator funding program, Drip, will be slowly shifted into whatever this new thing is that the Andy's are creating. Even higher level, it sounds like an alternative version of Patreon. That's clearly an oversimplification because the thing doesn't even exist yet, so who knows what it will be - but a platform that creates a way for artists to make income on a regular basis has some overlap there.
All that is to say, I don't know what this thing will be. I don't know if anyone knows exactly what it will be yet but I'm excited for something new from the founders of XOXO and feel confident that their mission will be fulfilled.
My wife made a Halloween costume for my dog Stanley, and I’ve never been more proud of a person or an animal than I am right now. #Philly #Flyers #Gritty https://t.co/XxiWgts9wL

Happy to report that the video debuts for yk Records artists keep coming at a steady pace. The latest is for New Man with the song "Little Less Left" off of the debut album, Sings.
The song could be viewed as more of a melancholy affair - lyrically dealing with learning to let go; physically and emotionally - but there's still an enjoyable veneer of pop wrapped around the whole thing. The "bah bah" choral harmonies, particularly near the end, are a treat.

The forthcoming Jasmin Kaset album, Tuxedo, is set to have a video for every song on the album. Aside from being an effective tactic for promoting an album, it's a great way to let other creative minds interpret your work.
The latest video is for the track "Middle Name," with a claymation extravaganza video directed by Nicolas Clark. Total honesty policy, the aesthetic took me a minute to get accustomed to but I love the rough hewn nature of it now.
Looking forward to more videos and the album's release on November 2nd. Go preorder it here.
Ryan Breegle is a true oracle of the best 90's music. Every conversation I've ever had with him about various artists across genres has always led me down a rabbit hole of new artists that I'd never heard of. All that is to say, I'm confident he knows his stuff well beyond what you think of as the commercially successful acts of the era. So, it was exciting to hear that he'd started a new project called My Daydream that compiles that knowledge into enjoyable mixes.
You can follow along on Instagram for insights into various acts and heads up when new mixes launch. I also suggest tapping that Follow button over on Mixcloud so you get notified the moment one launches.
Most folks probably expect their shared mixes to show up on Spotify these days but I like that he's restricted the format to Mixcloud where you can't skip around or dig deeper without making a conscious effort. There's four mixes up so far and each one is great.
In the latest edition of the WOTT Music podcast, I put together a bit of a Halloween mix. It's 10 songs of various spooky / scary bits ranging from the downright silly to downright atmospheric. If you want to hear me talk about it, here ya go:
If you'd prefer not to hear me gab about the music and just listen to some Halloween tunes, steer that browser over here.
It turned out well and I'm happy to confirm that the task of making a Halloween playlist with only Nashville area artists is very accomplishable.
