Spent a few days in NY this week but still managed to release multiple podcast episodes, including four new pieces from
Bandsplainer, the newest show in the
WOTT network. I know podcasts are the butt of every joke lately but, frankly, I'm really enjoying the work and the shows that are coming from it.
Before you dive into the distractions please make sure you're aware of
Fruit Loop Cat. I die everytime.
Take care.

A few
weeks ago I stumbled on
Olivia Ladd's podcast
Bandsplainer and was instantly glued to the handful of available episodes. Her goal of interviewing Nashville "musicians, artists, scenesters and friends" through a deep dive of a particular musicians catalog was not only entertaining and educational but it seemed like it would also fit quite well in the
We Own This Town network of shows.
So, I met with Olivia and we've officially teamed up! The show is now
part of WOTT and streaming everywhere. Olivia does a phenomenal job of researching each band per episode but ensures that the conversation is never stale. Here's the episode I started with and suggest you do so as well. Or just
subscribe.

When 9/11 happened I was a student at NYU. Classes were cancelled for a while + it was hard to get out of downtown, so I processed my grief by taking pictures of things that made me feel connected to the goodness of people for a few days. Every year I share a few. Here are some.
