After writing about music for 20-years, Opus Zine compiles and releases new music. There's some @vanityset in there to check out.

Tfw your Lyft driver starts trying to tell you Pizzagate was real and Alex Jones is great, and you understand why having a stranger pick you up at your actual house is a bad idea.

In 1999 @elbontruk asked my (out of the blue) if I wanted to design the website for the band @goldfingermusic. I'd never professionally designed a website. We haven't stopped since. ?♂️ https://t.co/Pm9bjfDbHs

If you didn't see the
tweet, one of the
yk Records artists that I work with -
Little Bandit - has been named in the
Top 40 Best Country Albums of 2017 by Rolling Stone. Maybe you don't care about Country Music, maybe you don't care about Rolling Stone - but, for me, it's quite a honor to see such a thing. I had zilch to do with the crafting of the actual songs but I'm still real happy that others recognize how good it is.
Here's a list of weird things to watch!
I've watched the
loop of this maybe 500 times. I suspect many more await me.

Over the past
few years,
Eric R. Mortensen &
Skinny Ships have curated a music countdown site that asks a number of artists to re-imagine their favorite albums visually - either new cover art or just some significant representation of the top ten albums they enjoyed over the past trip around the sun.
The list this year is as massive as ever, featuring
Jez Burrows,
Shawna X,
Mark Weaver,
Lisa Engler,
Nate Utesch and tons more. I'd be better off just listing every single artist on the site because there isn't a single one that isn't worth poring over their designs and their selections.

Assuming you use Spotify for most of your daily discovery and listening habits*, this
2017 Wrapped site should be of interest to you. It takes everything you listened to over the past year and compiles a little report on what your favorite albums, tracks and genres were. My
results are exactly what I'd expect with the exception of a 1997 Built to Spill song somehow making it into my #1.
If you're
not a Spotify user, there's not much here for you but I do recommend sitting and watching someone use the site as the animations and general "bubbleness" of the site are quite nice.
* I use Spotify maybe 40% of the time for my listening, a local library of mp3s and Bandcamp make up the majority of my listening. No surprises there.

I'm sick of these libs telling me I can't say "Happy Honda Days" because I might offend someone who celebrates Toyotathon. So, I guess I'm supposed to wish everyone a "Happy Winter Car Sale"?
