Delicious hasn't been too forthcoming about their fate ever since it was announced that Yahoo! was going to phase them out but it was announced yesterday that they've been acquired; by the founders of YouTube no less. I don't think it's entirely clear what Chad Hurley and Steve Chen have in store for the service but I'm just happy that my laziness won out.. I didn't move my bookmarks and now I don't have to!

My biggest hope is that when the final papers were signed there was some sort of celebration eerily similar to this gem.

Aaron has made public his latest undertaking, a daily mp3 blog called Endless Numbered Mixtape. You may recall Aaron's last mix and how enjoyable it was.. imagine that kind of taste but applied to a wider range of genres and styles. Long story short, you needa go ahead and hit the "Follow" button as soon as possible.

Never let it be said that incredible photos can't be taken with an HTC Android phone and a few apps.The Droid photostream is evidence that good things can happen if used properly. Loving this.

Awhile back I told you about the State Motto Project, in which fifty designers were asked to design pieces visualizing their states motto. Well, the project recently wrapped up and all fifty states are now represented. You can find out more on the contributors here and view all of the inspiring entries here.I love that each designer was restricted to a two color palette and there's still so much diversity among them all. I've said it before but major credit to Mr. Lehman for his TN representation.

Madrid clued me in to the launch of White Loupe and, as far as I can tell, it looks to be a great system for creating a portfolio for photography professionals. The templates are clean, make lots of room for the actual photography and adapt themselves for mobile devices. At first I was a little wary of the price tag but, honestly, you get what you pay for. I've used many of the free photography portfolio systems out there and, while they work fine, they require a level of web tech knowledge that I'm not sure most photographers have.

Missing E is a browser add-on that activates whenever you're in your Tumblr Dashboard and adds some additional functionality. You may not end up using all of them but for something as handy as "Magnifier" (so you are never yanked away from the Dashboard to view an image) makes it entirely worth it. Tumblr users catch a lot of flak for failing to attribute the source of content on their posts. Turns out, back in September of last year the Tumblr Staff did a great job of adding Content Attribution tags available to any theme to properly show where content is coming from. The only problem with these tags is that they failed to include them in the official documentation of how to make your own custom theme. So, unless you were really digging, you'd have no idea they existed. It's unfortunate because it is extremely easy to integrate into a theme and should be a standard for everyone! Building a custom Tumblr theme is actually a lot of fun and, hopefully, the Content Attribution tags are the only ones missing from the documentation!

This Oneedo / Rodney Selby video for "Apache" by Danger Beach is phenomenal! I can't remember the last time I've been so engaged by a video that I immediately sought out additional music from the band for enjoyment outside of the video. The production team of DANIELS is pretty much batting a thousand lately. In the past month they've done Dogboarding, "Simple Math" and now Puppets - a short film "based-on-a-true story" about the Daniels themselves. It is ridiculous and maybe just a little NSFW there near the end but it's incredibly engaging from start to finish. Watch it.

Wee Nudge acts as a repository of links to a number of incredibly informative articles about designing and developing for the web. The topics cover very common issues that many clients don't seem to understand - such as The Fold, Whitespace, Site Wireframes and Content Creation. If your clients struggle with any of these things it might be a nice place to send them to get informed or it might just be that your client has no interest in learning such things and you're just going to have to deal with it. Regardless, at least you know you're not alone.

Well, just turn to Hacker Typer, set your options and start slamming on the keyboard. You'll look like a super genius in no time flat. As Daniel put it, it's surprisingly satisfying.

For some reason I've found myself using the following tools fairly regularly:

• Online Font Converter - very quickly convert from OTF to TTF (and many other formats). Why would you need to do this? Well, if you've ever encountered this bug in Flash CS5, you'll know why.
• Font 2 Web - super easy conversion tool for setting up your @font-face undertakings. Similar to the Font Squirrel generator but, amazingly, with even fewer options. No fuss, no muss.

Been enjoying the offerings from Erin Purcell this morning. There's a quality to it that's surreal, ethereal and just a tiny bit dirty and haphazard. I see something like this and have a hard time believing it actually happened in-camera. However, that's kind of the point.. sometimes photography is unbelievably good.

There's also a great deal of other photography content - all quality - but seeing gif's used in this manner is an entrancing method to my brain. I have a few favorites among the bunch but there's something appealing about each and every one of them.

Michael Eisen discovered a very bizarre Amazon listing - a $2 million book about flies. The 1992 out of print book is a standard in the world of fruit fly research but certainly not worth such a mighty sum. Eisen's discovery is that the used copies of the books were pitted against each other via an automated algorithm that pushed them well beyond the limits of sensibility. His insight into the predicament is great.. go read all about it.

This weekend HBO aired Talking Funny, a one hour special curated by Ricky Gervais in which he and three other notable comics sit down and just discuss the business of comedy. It's interesting to see the contrast in how Gervais thinks of comedy (and why he did stand-up at all) in comparison to the others. The same interest applies to how Louis CK takes on his set versus Jerry Seinfeld. All and all, a worthy hour to partake in but it's almost too loose. I found myself wanting a little more structure to their conversation or, at the very least, the promise of a Part Two.

Here it is, another installment of possibly entertaining videos that, hopefully, you haven't already stumbled upon a million times in the past week (or in your prior browsings). And, if you have, maybe you'll still be entertained.

• The Crazy Nastyass Honey Badger - yea, I realize this isn't new but it is to me and it's like a perfect combination of Zoo Books and The Christmas Tree.. can't go wrong with that. via Mac.
• Indian Break Dance 1987 - more evidence that Bollywood has an aesthetic that you can't deny. I love that sometimes it looks choreographed and sometimes it just looks like they're goofing around. via Daniel.
• Greatest Speech Ever - there is a lot to love here, even if it's subtle. Give it at least a minute and a half.. it's ridiculous and rambling but I appreciate it for that.
• Doc Bottoms Aspray AllOver Body Deodorant - here's the deal. With the exception of one testimonial, I could actually believe this is an actual late-night commercial and not a parody. I don't know if that's a testament to the people that made the clip or a commentary on the sad state of television commercials. Maybe both.
• Look at Me Now I'm Getting Paper! - bald rollerskating guy going absolutely nuts with dancing for a good three minutes. He's got some legit moves.
• Living Island (HR Pufnstuf Remix) - you know that Pogo song comprised entirely of Alice in Wonderland sounds? Yea, same guy, different sounds. Love it.
• Stampede of cuteness - I always feel a little hesitant to share cute animal videos, as the Internet is overwrought with them, but then I see something like this and get into a total PEVZ and forget about any trepidation.

BONUS

• 2'00"" The Movie - I didn't even do any background research on this. Just wait for it and enjoy the mash of clips.

I'm blown away by the iconography from Taylor Carrigan. His body of works consists of more than just icons but it's safe to say that he certainly excels in that department. I love everything from the simple one-color gdgt icons to the full-color 3D replacement icons he's made.

The humor behind Hovering Art Directors may not be obvious if you've never actually experienced the sensation of having someone watch over your every move as you work but, trust me, it happens. So maybe it's not "Hah Hah" funny but there's a relatable truth to it.

Jeremy shared this gallery of images from French photographer Claire Beaugrand-Champagne and I must remember to thank him for it. The gallery is sort of a subjective Best Of culled from her official portfolio but they all shine a light on various slice of life scenarios. You gotta love a photo that tells a story without any background insight; a true sign of excellent work.

• ShowOff - a handy little tool that creates a tunnel from your localhost development area to the web. Very handy for showing progress while you're in the building mindset. via Will.
• Hashify - incredibly clever utility that stores entire documents via a combination of the browser hashtag, Base64 encoding and the bit.ly API. The point: "Hashify does not solve a problem, it poses a question: what becomes possible when one is able to store entire documents in URLs?"
• Is using a .LY domain right or wrong? - it barely registers to me anymore that certain domain extensions are associated with entire countries but if you're using a .LY domain, you're registered the domain under Libyan rules. Does this end up assisting Gaddafi in some way? Does the Libyan government have the power to shut your domain off with prior notice or reasoning? It's a topic that I've never pondered before and, thus, a fascinating article.
