Patrick Damphier - Pretend It

The folks at Glide Magazine have been so kind as to debut the official video for "Pretend It", a track off of Patrick Damphier's debut album, Say I'm Pretty. They had a bunch of kind words to say about the record, too:

Every song has a vibrant ecosystem of synth textures, percussion, voices and subtle beds of guitar feedback - but never at the behest of the melodies they serve. It’s a sensibility that merges Fleetwood Mac with My Bloody Valentine. That it has so much going on yet maintains is subtlety is no small feat.

The video is a rather clever undertaking directed by Joshua Shoemaker that actually plays off of the reversibility of VHS, not only leaning on it as a visual aesthetic.
