I'm a big fan of the exploratory photographs of
Pablo Maurer (more on that later). This collection of
Pennsylvania's Abandoned Turnpike is particularly interesting to me, largely because the historic Arthur Rothstein Library of Congress images from the same spot are so gorgeous. Maurer's modern shots tell a great story on their own but accompanied with the Rothstein story they really take on new life.
