If you were not aware, Dropbox just had their first ever developer conference -
DBX. Yesterday they announced
Platform Dropbox - a suite of tools that will enable apps, developers, etc to use Dropbox for file storage and data storage. This may not sound entirely revolutionary on the surface of things but it's a slow, natural, progression of their cloud service. This
Wired article does a great job of covering the Who, What, Why and How of the whole affair. It seems like Dropbox is effectively inching their way into our digital lives so they become completely indispensable - I'm good with that.
