smart.. and really dumb all at once

I'd say that this is kinda smart, and really dumb all at the same time. Having the new Napster distribute files that are incompatible with the iPod (which is, I believe, the most popular mp3 player) because it is believed that more people burn their music to disc rather than move it to a portable player is just shortsightedness. If the music industry wants to move to some sort of all new digital format (of which I am not a fan) then they should probably get on the same page and work to promote digital players, and compatible downloads.
