Solis

Every few years, a new app is released that seems to promise a massive reprieve from the workflow hardships you've been experiencing. Maybe it's Neonto's React Studio or Arcivr photo collaboration or PhoneGap or The Hype. The list is long.

The latest to come my way is this Solis app, which allows you to create a variety of canvas sizes and preview your markup in realtime across different sizes. The demo is impressive and best of all, it integrates with whatever code editor you're already using. That's the clincher I think to this being something that takes off as it requires no real change to your existing setup.

Maybe it's a flash in the pan! Maybe it's all hype! Regardless, it's a good idea and I hope they're able to find their way into the engineering zeitgeist.
