While Textmate is pretty solid right out of the box it's great that it can be extended and improved. Arlo pointed out some handy changes worth looking into.

• The Missing Drawer - granted, there's a drawer already but this makes it appear more integrated with the OS.
• Replacement Folder Icons - scroll way down to the bottom of this page and snag the OS standard icons to replace the ones used inside the app.
