The other day I stumbled into this recently unearthed short film from Jim Henson called
Drums West. It's a stop motion animation explosion and it led me down a path to this article containing
the surreal films of Jim Henson. I'd seen this crazy
Bufferin ad before but the
Paperwork Explosion and
Ripples pieces are new to me. They are bizarre and far more art school than what you associate with Jim Henson but the man had to start somewhere! When you're done with that, revisit his
Wilkins Coffee Commercials - and see the initial seeds of the Muppets at work.
