Swimming in a Sea of Ash

You may have seen the above video over on Boing Boing but I think it bears repeated viewings. After the Puyehue volcano eruption (remember?) a layer of ash has been descending on everything.. including Lake Nahuel Huapi that is more than 100 miles away. It's hard to imagine that undulating grey mass is actually a thick collection of ash.. and even harder to imagine what it looks like beneath the surface. Only the scuba diver knows!
