I caught the trailer for
The Brand New Testament last night - a
Jaco Van Dormael film that played at Fantastic Fest and tells the tale of God (a bathrobed prankster) and his neglected daughter. The gist of it? God's daughter unveils to everyone in the world exactly when they are going to die, creating a free wheeling atmosphere. It's clearly ridiculous but the trailer does a good job of telling the plot while only hinting at the weirdness within. I'm in and will keep an eye out for showtimes.
