The Night Of Title Sequence

Full disclosure, I've only seen two episodes of HBO's The Night Of at the time of this writing. So if everyone is bemoaning the finale that aired recently, I'm sorry. I'm completely ignorant to that. However, I can confidently say that no matter where the story goes, I'm loving the title sequence from Method Design NY. It's a dark, creeping, aesthetic that sets a great tone for the show.

I'd love to somehow draw a line of inspiration from The Night Of to True Detective since they're both HBO shows and they're both dealing with wrangling the truth but I think it's co-incidence. Or maybe True Detective set a tone to give studios more creative license over these sequences.. result in the beauties we've seen lately.
