The Raspberry Pi RetroPie

Kind of loving this article on building your own Raspberry Pi Emulator. Why re-buy the NES Classic Edition when you can just nerd out and build your own tiny emulator with every game. Or, at the very least, the good ones. Oh, and it can do Sega, SNES, Genesis and more as well. Not too shabby.
I know these have existed for quite some time but I like how ARS Technica has framed it as a direct alternative to the beloved Nintendo.
