The Tick says "Spoooooooooon"

Almost forgot to mention that I went to see Spoon last night as part of the 50th Anniversary of WRVU. The Features were the first band I caught of the set and it was good as usual, Crooked Fingers were good musicians I suppose but the set really dragged on and on.. definetly not a fan. Spoon has to be the most high-energy lowkey band I've ever seen. Lots of gusto goes into playing the songs, but the music is very mid-tempo kind of languid indie pop. Interesting mix. Overall the show was resoundingly... good.. not phenomenal, not disastrous, but good. I look forward to many more upcoming entertaining shows (Cursive/Minus the Bear, Forget Cassettes, My Morning Jacket, maybe Paper Lions, +/-, Tomahawk, etc.).
