Friend of the blog Casey Pugh has been working on a number of projects over at Vimeo for the past year that largely involve new technology and how Vimeo video can interact with them. One such fruit of his labors is this hefty tutorial on Tiny Planets - aka taking a 360 video and morphing it into an orb. The resulting video is beautiful.
But I'm kind of burying the lede here. The music set to this wonderful experiment is by none other than yk Records own Uncle Skeleton, the track "Cocoa Nibs" to be specific. So, double whammy! Casey makes a wonderful tool for creating captivating tiny worlds and Uncle Skeleton gets a free music video. Win Win.
