to the moon! wait.. no..

I've been hearing some rumblings about our current governmental administration planning a return to the moon. Does anyone not see this as a gigantic retarded distraction from the horrible debacle in the Middle East? Most media outlets are referring to this as a "Kennedy moment" for the Bush buddies and I have to concur.. there is no need to return to the moon, we've been there.. we had sandwiches on it.. what else is there?
