There's a wonderfully chaotic vibe to the work of
Toma Vagner; a Russian born illustrator currently producing work from NYC. While her site shows the literal illustrations she's produced it doesn't capture the additional layer of intrigue; the thick transparent vellum they're printed on. There's something about the layer of translucency that adds another layer of chaos to the mix; letting a little bit of the real world bleed through.
