Tristen

This week marked the release of Charlatans at the Garden Gate from Nashville native Tristen. The album has been on my radar for some time and I'm pleased to hear that the recorded versions of her songs are just as pleasing as they are live. Her voice has a gravely quality to it at times that lends it an emotional authenticity that keeps the re-listenability factor high. Layers and layers of harmonies, clever lyrics, great production and a blend of styles throughout that keeps it interesting from start to finish.
