Vimeo OTT Overview

I don't talk about my day job on here (or anywhere) too often. VHX became part of Vimeo back in 2016 and it's been growing steadily since that time. Lots of up's and down's in there as well but it's the most well formed version of itself now, an outcome that you'd hope to be the result of continued development for eight years.
All that said, I don't think there's really been great messaging or marketing behind it (just a personal opinion). So, I'm happy to see this great overview of what it is.
Anytime I try to explain what my job is to folks I tend to say "it's a service that's like Netflix in a Box" but that really doesn't set the tone for the kind of content that can thrive on the platform. This video does a much better job of it.
If you're left wondering what "OTT" means; you're not alone. It stands for "Over the Top" and it's an insider industry term that basically defines the relationship of Videos, Channels, Apps and the ecosystem they're all contained in. At the time it was defined, it seemed novel - now it's just the norm.
