Being curator of We Own This Town means I get to hear a lot of local music throughout the year and keep myself keen on what's going on around town. It also means that I feel obligated to filter that intake into a somewhat more wrangled list of Best Of when the time comes around. Well, that time has come and I finished my wrangling over the weekend. I am sure I missed a few things (and maybe might even regret a few inclusions) but it's a pretty solid take on the Year of 2009 in terms of local Nashville rock. It is a fine listen and it's rather long as well (hour and forty minutes); so it should help you relive the year or introduce you to a year of good stuff that you missed out on.
