I'm a southerner who spent YEARS on the west coast vehemently fighting the stereotype that we're idiots who fuck our cousins. And now you have to carry an INCEST BABY TO TERM?! What the fuck is this horrible shit. I'm furious, I'm embarrassed, I'm speechless.
This week’s episode features a conversation with @jshawhan about Robert Altman’s Nashville [and 9 other must-watch movies about the city] https://t.co/UDaQvByrK9
show host Matt Meeks, myself and @plainhuman talk shop about local Nashville dive bars on the West side of town. If you aren't sick of hearing my voice in podcast form, get on this!
Former Prosecutor from the Manhattan DA Office, Lucy Lang, breaks down 30 Courtroom Scenes from Film & TV. I have seen several of these "Technique Critique" videos from WIRED in the past but this one was particularly entertaining. Lang is, obviously, extremely well versed in all the behaviors of the courtroom but she's also pretty hilarious. Her take on A Few Good Men and Legally Blonde alone would make this worth watching.
Yes, it's 28 minutes but it flies by. Watch it in chunks or treat yourself to a proper immersive viewing.
I followed-back some ignoramus on Instagram, and he is *always* on his bullshit. This is the type of stuff he posts. I will die before I unfollow. https://t.co/fIgG7kcTOJ
We are throwing a most triumphant party @VinylTapNash on 6/9 to celebrate #BillandTedDay! We will have some bodacious art on display, giveaways, and more! It’s totally free dudes! https://t.co/jfgW7FTasB
I do my best not to post about every single episode of every single podcast coming out on the We Own This Town network I am running but but something comes along that I find particularly intriguing, I'm going to post it here. For instance, the latest episode of My Fantasy Funeral with local artist and gallery curator Julia Martin is a wonderful listen.
Her story of how she became an artist and her insights on original art ownership are phenomenal in and of themselves but her description of the kind of funeral party she would prefer to have is just... delightful. For such a macabre subject, she has a charmingly optimistic and fun view on the whole event.
