Donald Trump is President, Aunt Becky is in jail, Kanye has a church, Jenny McCarthy brought measles back, the talking Pikachu movie looks WAY better than the talking Sonic movie... and that's how you know you shouldn't have stolen that Sports Almanac from the future.
This episode of Making Perfect finds hosts Claire Saffitz on a search for the perfect pizza dough. There's plenty of interesting chats and insights in the episode but she starts off with a visit to Scarr's Pizza in the Lower East Side, one of my all time favorite pizza spots. It's great to hear Scarr talk about his pizza because his spot is so laid back and casual but his process is not.
We connect the music industry with a creative community of video makers, designers, photographers and developers for free.
This isn't a competition or a game: we are a serious network of experienced professionals. Think of us an Uber for finding music creatives (but without the cab fare).
On the face of it, it appears to be a way for labels with a budget to find creatives open for work. I've not tried this so I've no idea on how effective it is nor what the budgets are (larger labels can swing between the ridiculously large budget or the upsettingly abysmal, often with little rhyme or reason!). But the idea seems good.
What I don't understand is that every bit of promo on the site says "Sign up for Free" but when you view the briefs, there's mention of a £7.50/mo plan. What are the plans? How much does this cost? There's no clear link, nor even a way to read their Terms of Service without signing up first (which seems like a bug). As I said, I'm intrigued but I'd also quickly add to that, I'm suspect of what's really going on. Gimme some transparency here folks!
