The latest episode of Vidalotry was recently posted and it documents the relationship between Gore Vidal, Tennessee Williams and Truman Capote. That period of time is a fascinating piece of American history, particularly when viewed through the lens of a highly progressive, openly homosexual individual like Gore. Just hearing about his woes with adapting Tennessee Williams Suddenly, Last Summer and the interaction's he had with the National Legion of Decency makes the episode a worthwhile listen...

There's only four episodes left in this series and I highly recommend diving in.

Over on We Own This Town we've launched a brand new podcast series called fan/fiction w/ andrew/zach. The name is a total mouthful but that's part of its charm. Instead of releasing new episodes every week, the entire first Season has been posted at once, should you want to binge listen. Here's the first episode:

The conceit of the show is that hosts Andrew and Zach explore creativity through the lens of fan fiction. More accurately, they comb through a massive repository of fan made stories, pick their favorites and discuss them. What happens when Prometheus meets My Little Pony? Or Sonic the Hedgehog infiltrates Schindler's List? Or Garfield goes Zero Dark Thirty? They find out.

Microlino Auto

The Microlino is a new vehicle being manufactured by the guy that brought the world the Micro Scooter and Kickboard. It's tiny, it's electric and it's based on a 1950's vehicle named the Isetta - also known as The Bubble Car. I honestly don't know what to think of it. I'm in favor of smaller cars with a less intense environmental impact but having watched the video of this thing parking between two cars like a complete asshole I can't really fully support it.

Whatever it is, it's worth knowing it exists. It might just be the future we deserve.
