• Rick and Morty Court Transcript - at Comic-Con lastweek, Justin Roiland read a Georgia court transcript set to an animatic. It's vulgar and ridiculous but works so well as Rick and Morty.

Today is the third birthday celebration of Talking With Hands release The World and Ourselves on my own yk records. The album probably flew under your radar, which is a shame because if you're a fan of pop bands like XTC, Jason Falkner, Jellyfish or The Features - you will highly enjoy it. Let's get a few things clear right at the start. First, I am proud of our country for finally nominating a female to run for President of the United States. We're behind as a country in a lot of ways but I'm glad we've finally got that box checked. Secondly, I appreciate Bernie Sanders and really love many of his stances on the Problems of Politics. That being said, I am not a Bernie Bro. Lastly, I came into this election feeling like Clinton was a "career politican" - a person that is more willing to compromise to keep their career than to do the right thing. I have been brainwashed and I'm okay with admitting it.

This Daily Banter article - If You're Liberal and You Think Hillary Clinton Is Corrupt and Untrustworthy, You're Rewarding 25 Years of GOP Smears - wins for having the most terribly long headline and for making a strong case that if you, like myself, look down upon the accomplishments of Hillary Clinton, you're buying into negative hype sold to you from the other side of the aisle. It is, sadly, part of the game.

Do not get me wrong. I am not a fan of absolute's or black-and-white thinking. I am sure Clinton's record has plenty of bad marks and moments. She is a person. We make mistakes. So, this is not me wholeheartedly agreeing with an article about the pure nature of Hillary Clinton. However, this is me saying that if you aren't excited about her being the nominee, you should ask yourself why. If it's personality based, take a step back and remind yourself that policy is the important part. If it's perception of her tumultuous, questionable past, make sure you did the research on the specifics of those incidents; use politically agnostic sources if you can.

Sorry to rant on about politics here. I'm always scared to speak my mind about these things because I find debate on the Internet to be tiresome but I also don't want to make declarations and walk away. This article and this speech got me thinking and I hope others will do the same.

I'm never one to shy away from a fan theory. The entirety of Room 237 dissects Kubrick's The Shining to find hidden meaning and obtuse references. Are they real? Are they intentional? There's really no way to know.

Along those same lines comes this One Perfect Shot theory that Mulholland Drive is a Twin Peaks Film - meaning that both stories are set within the same world, despite not having obvious character overlap.

Given how Lynch has often stated that even he doesn't always know what his films mean, I see no reason for this to be considered invalid. Maybe the oddities of Mulholland Drive really are spirits from The Black Lodge. It's really up to you to decide.

Okay, bear with me here. This James Bridle article, At Play on the Field of Ghosts, is a massive tome of a read largely focused on forthcoming technology and sports. At least, that's the layman's summary of it. Really, the article is about how technology is rapidly progressing in its ability to capture our surroundings - i.e. realtime 3D scans turned into impossible camera movements or holograms projected realistically on a stadium size level.

Despite not feeling much interest in sports myself, it's important to remember that it is a massively funded economy in and of itself; so the tech being researched and developed is extremely well backed, with lots of interested parties. Probably moreso than cancer research or nano technology. All that is to say, it's impressive and will have a bigger impact on all of our lives; it just happens to start with sports.

Read it, think on it, discuss it with your friends. The future is gonna be weird.
